The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is a problem in the Pacific Ocean and could soon become a problem for the rest of the ocean if we don't act on it. Here is a PSA created by Indie, Abby, and Ryan that shows how the Great Pacific Garbage Patch
There are so many things that you can do to help solve the problem of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch and the other gyres around the world. Here are a few.
1. Use reusable bags when you are going to the store. 2. Don't throw out your plastic containers and utensils. Wash them off and us them again! 3. Tell your friends and family about the garbage patches and things you can do to stop them from growing. 4. Participate in community service projects that involve picking up trash. 5. Donate to organizations that fight the gyres. 6. Bring your own food to amusement parks and on national plane flights, so you do not have to add to the heavy usage of plastic. 7. Drink from reusable water bottles. 8. Of course, pick up trash that you see on the street. 9. Explore the rest of our website. Learn more about what we are doing to stop the gyres. 10.
